About Your Hosts
Carol was originally from Birmingham, and moved to Pembrokeshire with her parents in 1978. Trevor is from Bristol and moved to Wales as part of his tour with the RAF as an aircraft engineer, and loved it so much he stayed.
They moved into Little Dumpledale in February 2000, originally living in The Farmhouse. The property was extremely run down and they had to totally totally renovate it. After going on holiday to a cottage that was advertised as “Dog-Friendly” but was anything BUT dog-friendly, with restrictions on how many dogs they could take, where the dogs were allowed to sleep and a garden that was not secure, they decided to let out The Farmhouse with none of these limits, so people could relax and truly enjoy their holidays with their dogs. So they applied for planning permission to live in the old barn in the farmyard, moved there in 2002 and began letting out The Farmhouse. It was such a huge success that they decided to renovate the other outbuildings which are now Wyns Cottage and Swallows Dance.
In 2015 the barn was demolished and they began a new project - building a new house from scratch.
